Web Security Guide

What makes a good password?

  • use at least 8 characters
  • don't use existing words, combination of words or sentences
  • use letters, numbers and even special characters like $, %, #
  • don't use anything related to yourself, like a date of birth or license plate number

Of course we advise you not to write down a password on paper, where it can be seen by others. Also it's best not to store passwords in the browser.

We prefer to use password generators, which will take care of all these details. Afterwords we use a database or specialized program to store the passwords, behind another password of course.
