Mandate
To update and upgrade the Aruba Ports Authority's visual
identity on the web to match the upcoming Cruise and Container Ports development
project.
Website: http://www.arubaports.com/
Background
Aruba Ports Authority N.V. is a limited liability company established in
1981, which shares are 100% owned by the Government of Aruba. The aim of the
Aruba Port Authority is to provide a safe, efficient, accessible, and
inter-modal transportation system that ensures the mobility of people and
goods, and enhances and/or preserves economic prosperity and the quality of
life for the island.
APA N.V. is responsible for building, managing, maintaining and exploiting
the Oranjestad & Barcadera harbors and corresponding waterways, roads and
assets. The security of all premises and the promotion and development of
Cruise Tourism are also the responsibility of the Port Authority.
Implementation
With it's upcoming US$ 62 Million Dollar Container Port
Development project which involves moving the island's commercial port to the
port of Barcadera, and the upgrade of Aruba's cruise port in Oranjestad, the
new design for the Aruba Ports Authority website had to reflect the differences
between the Oranjestad Cruise Port and the Barcadera Cargo Port, as well as
making access to important news and statistics easier for users. The new website provides users with information such as Cruise Statistics, current weather conditions, and information on applying for port access.
