Web Designer / Front End Web Developer
Overview
To assist in
the creation of new websites and maintenance of existing ones. The
candidate must be able to take a design from a Photoshop layered file
and create valid (X)HTML and CSS from it.
Technical Skills Required
- Excellent hand coded (X)HTML and CSS skills
- Cross-browser compatibility issues and work-arounds
- W3C and web standards compliance
- Knowledge of SEO techniques and best practices
- Editing and optimizing graphics for web (Adobe Photoshop)
Personal Skills and Education Required
- Organizational and time management skills
- Problem solving and solution building skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to handle multiple projects
- Detail oriented
Nice to have (desired but not required)
- JavaScript and PHP experience
- Wordpress template customization experience
- User interface design principles and general practices
- Graphic design experience
- Bachelor's degree
