Technical Support Representative

CaribMedia is a full-service Web design, web development, web hosting, online marketing and promotion company in business for 10 years on Aruba. Strong teamwork and the cooperative interaction between everyone at all levels within CaribMedia is an essential part of our philosophy.
We are now seeking a Technical Support Representative who will be responsible for assisting clients with technical issues.
Overview:
The Technical Support candidate will possess an ability to explain themselves in simple terms for complex issues. They will have a willingness to learn on the job and stay abreast of new technical issues as they arise. They must also have a continued level of patience in order to support our wide range of customer technical support needs.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to Technical Support related issues in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Maintain the appropriate technical support documentation and historical issue information
- Assist in website quality assurance
- Interact with our technical team on customer technical issues
- Assist Customer Service representatives with customer support as necessary
- Other work projects generally within the scope of the Technical Support function
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in computers, operating systems, firewalls, etc.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Experience with the Java programming language preferred but not required
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills, and high attention to detail
- Experience in either help desk or technical customer service/call center preferred
- BS/BA degree preferred
