Technical Support Representative - Technical details:


Job summary:

  • Create and manage users on Linux, FreeBSD and Windows operating systems
  • Setup and manage email accounts
  • Install and configure server applications on Linux and FreeBSD
  • Provide technical support to Clients (email issues, server issues)
  • Deploy websites
  • Test and debug websites
  • Programming

Desirable skill set:

  • Able to install and manage Linux & FreeBSD server operating systems and Windows/Linux clients
  • Able to install and manage Apache, Tomcat, Mod_jk, FTP Server, SpamAssassin, ClamAV, Sendmail
  • Strong technical aptitude

Working knowledge of any of the following would be a significant advantage:

  • Java (Servlets, Struts)
  • PHP
  • Javascript
  • (X)HTML and CSS
  • CMS usage
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Anti-spam techniques
  • MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle databases
