Here’s a tip that will: grab some snacks and keep scrolling to discover the winners!

1. Dream Crazier by Nike

published: February 24th, 2019

Why it’s a Winner

It’s empowering and authentic. Nike (and Serena Williams) did an amazing job with presenting the achievements of female athletes throughout history, beyond the immense amount of resistance and obstacles that they were faced. This one-and-a-half minute video takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Both women and men can feel the thrill of inspiration that seeps through the ‘Dream Crazier‘ video. What really tops it off is after showcasing many emotion-packed visuals, it ends with a black background and the statement “It’s only crazy until you do it.”, followed by their slogan, “Just do it.”

2. The Pure Experience by Michelob ULTRA

published: January 28th, 2019

Why it’s a Winner

It hosts a mindful, meditative-like experience for a product that’s usually guzzled down, which in return brings a fresh perspective and deeper appreciation for the product. Michelob ULTRA and Zoe Kravitz manage to tickle your senses with this ASMR video ad. ASMR is short for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, which means “the experience of tingling sensations in the crown of the head, in response to a range of audio-visual triggers such as whispering, tapping, and hand movements.” First you, as the viewer, are transported into a jungle where it’s just you, Zoe, and Michelob ULTRA. Then the ad manages to let you experience audio-visual “close-ups” of the product that leave you salivating for some cerveza.

3. “Bonvoy!” by Marriott International

published: February 24th, 2019

Why it’s a Winner

Its clever product placement techniques and inclusivity make this video ad a hit for a large audience. Marriott International created a new way of communicating by swapping common exciting statements with their new rewards program name, ‘Bonvoy’. All the while presenting various of their international resorts, services, and amenities. An example hereof is the snippet when a golfer hits the ball in the hole, and her competitor says “Bonvoy”. In this 4-second experience the ad let’s you hear the new product ‘Bonvoy’, shows you a probably-owned-by-Marriott golf course AND when the ball gets closer to the hole you see that the golf ball is branded by Westin, a Marriott International resort. Not only that, but as the video is ending, the narrator states that their rewards program is “the new language of travel”.

4. Adaptive Controller for Xbox One by Microsoft

published: January 31st, 2019

Why it’s a Winner

What can we say? Kids, positive attitudes, and highlighting the importance of friendship and inclusivity make this video ad by Microsoft a big winner! As many of us know the business of toys and games for children are huge money-makers.  When you add kids themselves in the promotion of specific products AND you let them speak about their own experience and feelings about the product, you make your product much more personable. The cherry on top (thank you, Microsoft) is their final stated message that reads “When everybody plays, we all win”, a reminder to all about inclusivity and friendship.

5. Audi Synchronized Swim by Audi AG

published: March 15th, 2019

Why it’s a Winner

It shows viewers that the brand Audi likes to have fun, all the while showcasing not one, but two of their vehicles in motion, without the video ad feeling congested. Audi highlights many of their products’ elements through this 1-minute video of a synchronized car show in which you get to experience the speed and precision of their vehicles as well as the vehicle’s neat technical components. Also notable is the use of sound and music in this ad that accentuates the feeling of ‘not feeling alone when your with an Audi’.
